Onesome- Knit one: Do you have a crafty hobby? Knitting, stitching, scrapbooking or model building, whatever it is, tell us about it! Or is there a crafty hobby you'd like to take up if had the time and/or money to do so?
I crochet and beading. Uncle Sam calls it a "hobby" but I work at it and TRY to make some money from it.I've sole a few things on ebay.
Twosome- Purl: Or rather, pearl. What's your birthstone? And while you're at it, what's your sign? *g*
I'm a Cancer... yes, the crab, but not really ^_^ My birthstone is the Ruby.
Threesome- Too: Too much? Have you had enough of the political coverage already? ...or are you waiting for things to really gear up in the Fall?
I guess if you don't want to listen to both candidates, you'd be tired of the convention but for me and mine, we are listening to both... even though one has lied so much I for one don't trust him anymore... on any issue.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I went out to the mall yesterday! I love to people watch while I'm doing my crafts. Ther was this elderly couple who spent about 10 minutes watching me do my beading before they came over and asked what I was doing. I showed them the piece and told them about who it's for. They were so sweet, holding hands and all that. Then she said to me " It's pretty, do you ever sell them?" I told her that I do shows in the fall and gave her one of my cards... I was so dumb! I had all the other bead stuff I made with me, I should have let them look at them. That's me, I don't go to the mall to sell stuff, so it didn't cross my mind to get them out ^_^
Happy Birthday, Betty!!!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The weekend was so much fun... we went to Border's on Saturday, instead of Sunday, because it was raining and Kevin wanted to weed in the garden Sunday. We came to the conclusion that we like Sunday Border's better ^_^.
Poor Kevin is so sore this morning. hope it gets better as the day goes on.

listening to:
"You Know Better" - SCC Thought for the Day: "One should treat oneself as one does one's friends- critically but with affection." - Frances Partridge
Today I am thankful for: Karen ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Today's Meme: TVTuesday:
1. On a whole do you feel most Special Reports are really that special? Or are they simply annoying?
if there is actually something REALLY important, it's ok, but to break into regular programing to tell the viewers that a verdict is coming and they will bring us the verdict when it comes down, THAT's ANNOYING!
2. What special report has effected you most? (IE: (9/11, Reagan being shot...etc)
When John Lennon got shot... 9/11 was horrible, but during news programing to begin with.
3. Do you stay tuned in for Special Reports or do you reach for the remote?
now I usually remote it, or turn it off.
~Bonus~ Not exactly a special report but more on special coverage. What are your thoughts on some of the "Special Coverage" spots that have hit TV lately? One that comes to mind for me is the 24 hour a day coverage of Ronald Reagan's body laying in state at the White House. Something we needed to see or just plain morbid?
I, personally, think it was way over the limit of most people's tolerance... I could see it being more relavent if he was the sitting President... too much for a man who died of natural causes.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ We had fun yesterday. My son made me lunch. He's becoming quite the chef!
Nothing earth shattering happened, we just enjoyed being home and doing things that had to get done... and I started 3 ducks... bills, feet $ tails are done. Working on wings today.
Happy Birthday, Sherilynn!!!

Happy Birthday, Amye!!!
Onesome- State: What state (or territory) do you live in? Have you lived in any other(s)? Where would you like to live? And as a bonus: Any idea what year your state became a state? *grin*
I was born in NJ... lived in PA, NJ, FL, CA, MO, MN, SC and am now back in NJ. I would love to live in MN again.
Twosome- Fair: Or amusement parks: Did you enjoy them as a kid? What was your favorite ride? How do you feel about them now? Ready to go wander around one again, sampling funnel cakes and corn dogs and riding rides until you're sick or would you rather just enjoy the entertainment or stay home and avoid the crowds?
I love amusement parks... love to "people watch". My favorite ride is the sky ride... I now stay at home, not because of crowds, but because I can't be in the sun very long.
Threesome- And Rodeo: Have you ever been to or watched a rodeo on TV? Did you enjoy it or consider it a barbaric spectacle? If you liked it, what was your favorite event? Ever tempted to race barrels or ride a bull yourself?
Love Rodeos! The Bronk and Bull Riding... no, I don't ride horses.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Yesterday was good... Kyle got home safe, we didn't get much rain, I got a lot of little annoying things done, listened to my music almost all day... it was a treat for me.
Love you all
^_^
Happy Birthday, Jenna Marie!!!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ This weekend was busy and painful! We went to Sam's, I hurt my foot... we went to the pharmacy, my meds were more than expected... we went to the grocery store, my knee buckled... we went to the bank, and I was sayin' "stick a fork in me, I'm done!!!" Kevin was so good, he took care of the post office stuff for me. He also made all the meals for the rest of the weekend... I'm so luck to have him.
Hopefully this week will go better ^_^
Love you all!
^_^
Harmony. It's inner peace for you, or at least trying to find it. The shell you live your life in is akin to monks of old. You'd be more comfortable if things were less stressed and made a little more sense, so you try to get just that. You survive the end by not letting it happen. You didn't stop it, but you supported those who did. I'm glad you took a break from meditation to take the quiz...
HappyThursday!
I'm feeling... tired, didn't sleep well
fbs: 176
goals for today: relax, wind yarn, Curves, bank
listening to:
"No Comdemnation" - Don Francisco Thought for the Day: "Friendship consists in forgetting what one gives and remembering what one receives." - Alexandre Dumas
Today I am thankful for: being able to hear
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Today's Meme: Thursday Threesome:
Onesome: Not so much-- --to do now that school is out for the students? ...or maybe a little too much to do for those student's parental units? What are you up to this July? Back for Summer Sessions? ...off to the beach? ...headed out on a weekend adventure? Surely you must be doing something!
My kids are out of school, so I do the same during the summer as the rest of the year... except go outside for walks...too hot! ^_^
Twosome: easy as-- Pie? Sure, how about your favorite pie? ...and hey, homemade versus store bought! Would you rather have Mom's Apple Pie or head on over to Marie C's for a slice of heaven there?
My favorite pit is peach...homemade, with real homemade vanilla ice cream.
Threesome: addicted-- Okay, what is it you are addicted to, that element of your life you simply cannot do without. Reading? The Net? Little porcelain dolls? Oh, yeah: Money? Nah, make it something you'd spend your spare change on...
My crafts... crocheting and beading.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Kyle got home safely! He's grumpy!
Tonight, hopefully, we will be listening to Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge in concert at Cooper River Park... we have to be there to pick Kyle up from work, so we may as well enjoy it ^_^. I'm going to be taking it easy today... fbs is too high.
Hope you all have a great day. Love you all

Happy Wednesday!
I'm feeling... content to wait for Kyle's return later today.
fbs: 155... eating early causes the munchies later.
goals for today: kitchen stuff.

"Bring it On" - SCC Thought for the Day: "I love you, my brother, whoever you are - whether you worship in your church, kneel in your temple, or pray in your mosque. Setting up the Shows for this year
Watching the Neighbors kids play.
TVTuesday:
1. Daytime TV: "Gimme my soaps", "Talk shows please", "More of a Game show person", or "Home shows are best!!"
Soaps, baby!
2. One of the latest trends in Daytime TV is re-runs of 80's & 90's hit shows, what is your favorite that's re-running now? If you don't have one which show would you like to see re-running?
I'd love to see Night Court in re-runs.
3. What's your all time favorite day time show?
Another World
~Bonus~ There's lots of noise about Daytime soaps pushing the limits of what's acceptable on TV, but the soaps claim they're just keeping up with changes in society, so which is it? Are the soaps over the edge? Or has society brought it on itself?
I feel that they all go a little too far. You gotta remember that these things are on in the afternoon... when kids are getting home from school... no wonder kids are "doing it" earlier and earlier.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Yesterday was a nice day... I got no work done, but Cheryl and I had a goreat day together. We went out for lunch. She is still all driving-out{didn't want to drive}, so we walked (no need for Curves, that walk was a big accomplishment for me). We came home, talked and laughed some. She wanted to help with dinner, so I let her... I enjoyed her help. She's a wonderful daughter, and a fine young lady... who has a bit of a temper at times, but do any of us not get angry at times?
Happy Birthday, Rebecca!!!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Cheryl got home safely... what an ordeal for her(email for details). She's sleeping soundly in her own bed now. Thank you, Jesus for getting her home safely.
I recomment that everyone go to see Fehrenheit 9/11. It brings a lot of facts to light that most people are unaware of. Thank you, Michael Moore!
Happy Birthday, AMERICA!!!!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Yesterday's Meme: Thursday Threesome:
Onesome: Yankee- Hey, this is the 4th of July weekend here in the States; do you have any plans? Fireworks? Watching the Boston Pops? Hiding under the bed with the dog?
I'm planning a nice quiet day with my family.
Twosome: Doodle- Is there any paper safe from you, or are you a doodler? If you are, when are you most likely to doodle and what do you draw?
I doodle, when I'm bored. Usually eyes or flowers, or smiley faces ^_^
Threesome: Dandee- Or dandy. It's one of my favorite words. How about you, do you have any favorite words that you like to use, just because you like the way they sound or just because you can?
none that I can think of right now ^_^
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ DANG!!! I missed 2 days! Sorry, people, things were a bit unsettled here. Cheryl returns today from her big adventure driving to Canada and meeting some internet friends. She has had a great time, so far. Today, Kevin took a vacation day to make it a 4 day weekend. We're planning on going to see Fahrenheit 9/11 and out to lunch at Charlie Brown's. It should be fun, and we will enjoy a little time for ourselves ^_^ Hope you all have a Fabulous Friday!
Love you all
^_^
Happy Birthday, Martin (my BIL)!!!
