Monday Madness:
1. In your opinion, what is the perfect daytime temperature; nighttime temperature? While you're at it, what's your favorite season?
72 during the day... 60 at night... My favorite season is Spring, however I think Fall is a close second, "God's painting the forest again"
2. Do you think the seasons of the year have anything to do with your mental attitude? Do you tend to get sick more often in any particular season?
Less sunlight makes a lot of people siffer from s.a.d. or meloncholy. I am , in general a happy person. I try to find the good in everything around me.
3. Which season do you feel you are more physically active?
I am more active in Spring and Fall... Summer's too hot, Winter's too cold
.....and one more just for the heck of it.....
4. Would you rather have to deal with staying warm or staying cool?
Staying warm... I always say, "you can ALWAYS put on another sweater, but when it gets down to it, you can't take enough off to be comfortable in the heat!"

Saturday Scruples*
1. Your 20-year-old son/daughter wants to work with a famine relief agency in a war torn country. Do you try to discourage him/her?
I would express my concern, but I'd never try to discourage anyone from doing some good in this world where most people don't care to help their neighbors, let alone those less fortunate.
2. Your father is having an affair. You mother is unaware. Do you tell her?
#1- my Dad is still in love with my mom, 31 yrs after they divorced because of her affairs. #2- I wouldn't tell here even if she asked!
3. "Is there a doctor on board?", the captain of your jet asks repeatedly. You're an M.D. but are drinking and seeing pink elephants. Do you answer the call?
Yes, but inform them of the circumstances of my impairment

Friday Five*
1. How are you planning to spend the summer [winter]?
chillin' in the house. I can't go out in the sun, so I usually am found at home!
2. What was your first summer job?
Cashier at A&P (that's a grocery store from WAY back when...)
3. If you could go anywhere this summer [winter], where would you go?
To Florida to visit my Dad... he's come to visit us so many times, unlike the other half of my parents.
4. What was your worst vacation ever?
Traveling cross country with a broken leg back when I was 6.
5. What was your best vacation ever?
Taking our kids to Cooperstown! Kyle is an avid baseball fan, always has been.

2. What do you like about your current weather?
NOTHING... it's too hot to do anything outdoors!
3. What do you dislike about your current weather?
EVERYTHING... my perfect climate would be 70-75 during the day, 60 at night. I do not do well in heat like this.

This-or-That!
1. Surf sites at random, or have a set list of regular reads?
I do a little of both... reg. reads in the morning... surf the guestbooks in the evening!
2. Do you visit mostly blogs, or news or other sites?
I visit mostly blogs but there have been times where I do visit other sites more. I run 3 webrings, so I'm busy a lot.
3. Do you go online every day, or just a couple of days a week?
Every day... sometimes more than others (I have to share the comp. on the weekends)
4. Do you allow comments on your blog, or not?
I allow comments, but have had to block a few idiots from commenting.
5. Do you shop online at all, or at regular stores?
I do both. Craft supplies are best bought in stores when on sale.
6. Have you ever done online bill-paying/banking, or not?
I have done both, but would rather not, if you know what I mean.
7. Which news site do you prefer... MSNBC.com or CNN.com? Or do you prefer some other one?
I like to read news from the country the news is comming from, it's a lot less slanted.
8. Live chat rooms, or message boards?
I have(own) a chatroom, but I prefer message boards myself.
9. Instant messaging or e-mail?Instant messages are best, except if you are REALLY busy, but then you can exit the program and not have to deal with it.
10. Yes or no: have you ever met, or at least talked on the phone with, another blogger? If not, would you want to? Why or why not?
Yes, I've talked to many of my fellow bloggers! I've met many "chatroom" buddies in person. I miss those days.

I'm a Cancer... and no, I think I'm a lot different from what it says.
2. Do you read your horoscope on a regular (or semi-regular) basis? Do you believe there is a certain degree of accuracy in what it says?
No, I don't read them at all... but if my daughter is reading them, she'll read mine.
3. Have you ever visited (or called) any type of fortune teller? If so, feel free to share your experience; if not, feel free to share your thoughts as well.
No... that isn't my "cup of tea" if you know what I mean.

1. Tidying up, you come across your teenage daughter's diary. Do you read it?
Depends on if her moods and attitude have changed in the near past to warrent seeing if something has happened that would explain these changes, but on the whole, NO!!!
2. An executive at a large company will give you a big contract but demands a cash kickback. Do you agree to pay?
NO... this is not a good business practice. I feel that if you are honest and up front with your dealings with others, things always work out the way they should.
3. You work closely with a colleague who has a bad stutter. When he struggles to finish sentences, do you help?
Depends if the colleague is sefl-concious about it, if so I would be patient and let him/her finish his/her own thoughts.

ever have one of those days when nothing seems to go right???
I had to call the prescription place about the bill they sent along with my scripts( that I already paid for)... she said they have to be "lost in the mail" for 30 days before they can reimburse me for them...
"so let me get this straight, I have to do without my meds for 30 days in order forr you to replace the ones that never got here?"
"that's the way it works here"
"ok... I'll talk to my doctor about how long I can go without these meds and get back to you on that ok, hun?" CLICK... I'll pay for the second shipment when I GET the second shippment!!!

so... then I had to call and raise heck with the Post Office that only delivered half of my meds... he was nice, gonna "keep an eye out" for my mail... he was really sweet...

Just got off the phone from the Verizon people... hehehehe...an HOUR to straighten out my bill!!!
she was a doll, but it was stressful having to "pull teeth" to get all the info and credits due me.

SOOO... how is your day going?

sorry it's late...
You own a restaurant and serve fresh rolls with every meal. Often they're returned to the kitchen seemingly untouched. Do you serve them again?
No, but I do save then to feed the geese and ducks.
In a close fight for re-election, you learn that your rival recently had a nervous breakdown. Do you leak this to the media?
No, something like that is not something I would leak, but I'm sure that some nasty reporter would find it out anyway.
You have a clear view of an attractive neighbor who does yoga in the nude. Do you ask this person to draw the curtains?
Yup. It may embarrass them now, but there are so many perverts out there.

We might get the car today... I WANT my car back!!!!!!!! Hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday! Love you all!

Friday Five
1. What's one thing you've always wanted to do, but never have?
I've always wanted to open up a little shop... I'd have cards and stuff... and my crocheted stuff... I'd have called it "The Octopus' Garden". When you come inside, the door would play the Beatles song for you.
2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?
Yup! There are times when I wish I hadn't been honest, but only because it hurt their feelings.
3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn't? What happened?
Yes... things were never the same. Some things, sometimes are better left unknown.
4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?
Camelot... only with Central Air Conditioning... because things were so much less complicated back then.
5. What's one talent/skill you don't have but always wanted?
I've always wanted to be able to speak in public. I'm not much of a scholar... but I can talk to anyone one on one... Kevin says I could engage a deaf person in a conversation.

I see myself a year from now... weighing less, doing more... hopefully healthier... and definately loved.
2. Would you ever want the ability to predict the future? Why or why not?
It might be fun to know the future... but only for a day... because it would not be fun to know who is passing over ahead of time (if you don't say "I Love You" to those you care for each day, you miss out on a lot.)
3. Has anyone ever made a prediction about you that came true and what was it?
Once... mmy (so called) mother... she said I'd have a child just like me... and I do... and she's wonderful, caring and giving... enough said, for now.

While you're losing weight, or since you've reached your goal, have there been any changes that have concerned or scared you? The biggest change I think is the lack of clothes that fit me well...
How do you deal with them or how do you think you should deal with them? I think I'll get a needle and thread and take in the seams... we don't have extra money for clothes for a while.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We did...kinda... Kevin took Friday off to get the car ready for inspection. It had been making a really not so nice sounding rattle for a bit and it was getting worse. Thought it might be the transmission... well... it wasn't. The transmission guy said it sounded more like the catalytic converter... so off to the muffler shop... "...come back at 12 and we'll see which one it is...", soooo...home to fix my window ( it wasn't on the track). When Kevin went to take it back to the muffler place, it wasn't making a noise at all... so it wasn't put up on the lift ( if it had been, we would not have experience the Sunday fron Heck!
We went to Borders, like always ( the girl in the Cafe knows us and gets our tes, coffee, and french sode ready as soon as she sees our car at the light!)... kinda like a ritual thing. When we got ready to go, the car was making that noise again. We got out onto the main road and my mind was saying "STOP THE CAR STOP THE CAR..." but before my mouth got the idea to say something BANG... the car started smelling of burning something and Kevin was trying to get the car onto the shoulder... the drive shaft dropped going 45mph! towed to the service station we use... Thank the Lord, Kyle had opted to stay home so he could come get us.
So, how was your Sunday?
Love you all.
